Hampton Court ‘Florimania’

Following on from last week’s post we are delighted to share with you a selection of photographs of the completed arrangements from last weekend’s ‘Florimania’ at Hampton Court Palace.

With the event entitled ‘ Flowers from around the world: exploring the continents, each of the arrangements represented either a picture on display in Hampton Court Palace or a country of the world.

Following the event, we received the following email from Jane Rickard of Surrey NAFAS:

“The flowers are exceptional and are standing up really well.

The feedback from the public over the last 2 days has been great.  Many thinking it was the best yet!!!!  Of course, that is largely due to the quality of the flowers.  As usual – all went smoothly and you handled the whole day marvellously!!

Thank you once again for all your help and patience with us and the good organisation of our flowers on conditioning day.”

Hampton Court ‘Florimania’

Yesterday we made our now annual trip to Hampton Court Palace to deliver the flowers for their ‘Florimania’ event this coming weekend

It was our absolute pleasure to, once again, be working with Jane Rickard and her team of flower arrangers from Surrey NAFAS

The theme for this years’ event is “Flowers from around the world: exploring the continents” so a vast array of flowers were chosen by the arrangers including the largest quantity of tropical flowers we have ever supplied

The photographs below were taken during the handout and conditioning of the flowers and we look forward to sharing photos of the finished arrangements soon

Nursery Fresh Ltd, of Portsmouth, were honoured to have been appointed as flower supplier to The Symphony of Flowers and would like to congratulate Angela and her team on their amazing results.

The stunning visual impact, coupled with the fantastic fragrance filling this  beautiful building  is not to be missed and tickets can be purchased from the

The Very Reverend James Atwell, Dean of Winchester and the Winchester Cathedral Chapter, have very kindly given Nursery Fresh permission to publish a selection of  pictures from ‘The Symphony of Flowers’

Pictures of the supply and staging for ‘Symphony of Flowers can be seen ‘here’

Nursery Fresh would like to thank flower supplier Sjaak van der Vyver and Transport company NV Transport of Chichester, for their help and superb service, which helped towards the success of The Winchester Cathedral ‘Symphony of Flowers’

Our Pleasure and Privilege…..

We received, today, this lovely message from Valerie Davidson, the Leader and Designer of  ‘The NAFAS Chelsea 2013 Exhibit’, staged by SAFAS, the Scottish Area of NAFAS

“The SAFAS Chelsea Team 2013 were delighted with the service and quality of the flowers supplied by Nursery Fresh. They were commented on by the head judge and we feel that combined with the superb plant material contributed to us being awarded a Gold medal. Many thanks. Valerie Davidson team Leader/Designer”

Demonstration – Saturday 20th April 2013

Nursery Fresh were delighted to welcome Flower Arrangers to a demonstration by Liz Pelley entitled ‘Church Wedding Flowers’ at their premises in Horndean on Saturday afternoon. The idea behind the theme of the demonstration was to show arrangers new and innovative arrangements using traditional flowers and working within the tight constraints of Church wedding budgets. Whilst creating several arrangements from pew ends to pedestals, Liz also passed on money saving tips and ideas all of which she has gained from her years of church flower arranging. All those who attended commented on how much they had enjoyed the demonstration and left feeling inspired to re-create some of the arrangements in their own churches. A big thank you to Liz and all those who attended.

Below is a selection of photos taken during the demonstration.

Symphony of Flowers At Winchester Cathedral

Flower arrangers from the Wessex and Jersey Area of NAFAS, have spent the last two days visiting Winchester Cathedral in preparation for ‘SYMPHONY OF FLOWERS’, the Cathedral’s first Flower Festival for 10 years, which will take place between 12 and 16 June 2013.

The floral designs will be created by hundreds of NAFAS Members and the Cathedral’s own flower arranging team.

Jan Meloy, Chairman of Wessex & Jersey Area of NAFAS, said:

“We’re delighted to have you on board to supply the flowers for this prestigious event, your knowledge and expertise will be a great help to us.”

Needless to say Nursery Fresh is delighted to have been appointed as the central supplier to the event and is looking forward to working with Jan Meloy, Creative Director Angela Turner and the design team of Pip Bensley and Pauline Hurran, whose collective work has received National and International acclaim.
