‘Churches at Christmas’

Nursery Fresh hosted their first Demonstration on Saturday 12th November 2011 and were delighted to welcome Teacher and NAFAS Area demonstrator Liz Pelley, who captivated the 70 strong audience of Flower Arrangers with her traditional and contemporary designs entitled ‘Churches at Christmas’.

Liz is back again on the 7th  December to give her “Christmas at Home” demonstration, which unfortunately has also sold out.

Next Spring, Nursery Fresh will be holding wedding themed demonstrations and workshops, details of which will be posted on our website, so why not take this opportunity to sign up for regular newsletters.

Lest we forget……………

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Some nice testimonials this morning…

Hi,

I contacted you back in June/July with regards to flowers for my sister’s wedding and following your advise ordered and used some beautiful phalenopsis orchids from you. They were gorgeous and so many people commented so thank you for your help with that.Due to the success of these  flowers I have been asked to do some more wedding flowers this time in December. The bride has requested a hand tied bouquet to include rosemary as the foliage, but is not sure what flowers she wants. Her colour scheme is deep purple and cream, I would be really greatfull if you could give me some ideas of what I could use and what flowers are available mid December.

Thank you again in
anticipation.

Regards Sarah

NAFAS Junior Workshops

Nursery Fresh was delighted to sponsor the flowers and foliage for the Junior Workshops at the NAFAS National Show which was held in Torquay last week.

Young enthusiasts and local Brownies created stunning Floral Cupcakes under the watchful eye of National Chairman Norma Dobney and members of the NAFAS Educational team.

The young arrangers also met Victoria Richards, who will represent the UK in the 2011 ‘WorldSkills’ competition held in London next month.

Dubbed ‘The Skills Olympics’, Victoria won Gold in 2010 and is already tipped to become one of the UK’s leading Florists.

Victoria, with the help of her sister Jessica, ‘wowed’ the show visitors with demonstrations using flowers sponsored by Nursery Fresh.
